Sometimes the most powerful parenting tools are the words parents speak to children. Unfortunately, parents often also fall into the trap of repeatedly not following through on the things they tell their children. Doing this takes away from the potential positive power that words can have. Parents need to take time and care to establish patterns of following through, meaning what they say, and being true to their words.
